Why do we collect your data?

We require your personal data to understand your relationship to the care recipient. The purpose is to help non-verbal people to communicate their emotions.

What data do we collect?

seamlessCARE Empathic application collects data in order to create your profile and to provide the best quality of service. Four different profiles can be created in Empathic. This is to restrict access rights, to understand personal relationships and to facilitate the collection of data; but only as required by the app.

The access rights for companion (B) and user (D) data subject types are limited to let the owner profile who is a guardian or health organisation to manage the user data and the companion invitations securely. Consent is requested from the owner for people under their guardianship.

How do we collect your data?

You provide most of the data we collect directly to seamlessCARE. We collect and process data for the purposes and the lawful justification below.

For people under guardianship and children below the age of 16 years, processing shall be lawful only if, and to the extent that, consent is given or authorised by the holder of parental responsibility over the child in accordance with article 8 GDPR. seamlessCARE may also receive your data indirectly from other sources if a participating health organisation has already agreed to internal consent with a carer and care recipient.

seamlessCARE maintains a security level using 3 main pillars:

Technical measures seamlessCARE securely stores your data on our servers. Servers are hosted on Amazon Web Service (AWS) which is ISO27001 certified. Application is accessible only via Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) methods (phone, Google Authenticator and USB key generators). AWS is GDPR compliant and MFA methods complete our servers’ securities.
Qualified and responsible person seamlessCARE engineers use best practices for safe coding. Security is important to us, and privacy is the right of all owners, companions and users. We develop our applications by integrating security measures throughout the development process.
Organisational measures seamlessCARE implemented controls and monitoring from development to production. Data is minimised, managed securely and kept in accordance with the time requirement for the lawful retention period Our data protection set-up is review and adapted regularly to insure integrity and confidentiality of the owners, companions and users.

What are your data protection rights?

seamlessCARE would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:
